Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using TunnelTunnel, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Services. You must have the legal capacity required under applicable law.
2. Description of the Services
TunnelTunnel provides access to AI model services and encrypted saved conversation history. To answer requests, TunnelTunnel and the relevant model service process prompts, conversation context and selected files in readable form. Optional features and safety checks can use additional services, as described in the Privacy Policy. Encryption of saved history does not automatically anonymize submitted content. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or unreliable.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities performed under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services for unlawful activities, infringement of intellectual property rights, malware distribution, fraud, abuse or attempts to compromise the security of the platform.
5. Privacy and Security
5.1 Security
TunnelTunnel encrypts saved conversation content. This safeguard does not prevent the server or model service from processing readable content to provide AI features. Avoid sharing personal or confidential information that is unnecessary for your request.
While TunnelTunnel applies commercially reasonable safeguards, no internet-based service or security system can guarantee absolute protection against all risks. Users acknowledge that the use of any online service involves inherent security risks.
Users are solely responsible for protecting their own accounts and data. In particular, users are strongly encouraged to:
- use a strong and unique password for their TunnelTunnel account;
- enable additional security measures where available, including multi-factor authentication;
- access the Services only through secure and trusted internet connections;
- protect their devices against unauthorized access;
- regularly delete conversations that are no longer needed, especially when they contain sensitive or confidential information;
- maintain secure backups of important information where appropriate.
TunnelTunnel shall not be liable for any loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure resulting from weak passwords, compromised user devices, insecure network connections, user negligence, or the failure to follow reasonable security practices.
By using the Services, users acknowledge that they share responsibility for maintaining the security of their accounts and the confidentiality of the information they choose to submit.
5.2 Password, Encryption Keys and Data Recovery
Saved conversation content is encrypted before storage. The browser derives password-based encryption material and manages wrapped account and conversation keys. Encrypted key material is stored by the service. During saved-chat AI processing, the browser supplies a conversation key that the server uses to decrypt context and encrypt generated content. This is not end-to-end encryption that hides processing content from TunnelTunnel.
Users are solely responsible for maintaining and securely storing their account password, encryption credentials, recovery keys, backup files, or any other authentication information required to decrypt their conversations.
Keep your password and recovery phrase safe. Losing the information needed to unlock your keys can make saved history inaccessible. Account reset does not recover previously encrypted history.
Accordingly, if a user loses their password, recovery credentials, or backup, TunnelTunnel cannot recover, decrypt, restore, or access the encrypted conversations.
In such circumstances, the encrypted data shall be considered permanently inaccessible and irretrievably lost. TunnelTunnel has no technical ability to restore such data and shall bear no responsibility for any resulting loss.
Deleting a conversation removes it from your active history. This does not promise immediate erasure of all copies in backups, logs, external services or separately submitted safety reports. See the Privacy Policy and account-deletion request page for the available deletion routes and limitations.
By using the Services, users acknowledge and accept the risks associated with encrypted storage, including the permanent loss of encrypted data resulting from the loss of passwords, encryption credentials, or backups.
6. Intellectual Property
All software, trademarks, logos, documentation and content belonging to TunnelTunnel remain the exclusive property of TunnelTunnel or its licensors.
7. AI Disclaimer
AI responses are generated by the selected model service. TunnelAI uses a hosted inference endpoint; it is not a model running solely on your device. TunnelTunnel processes readable content to prepare context, generate replies and summaries, and perform applicable safety checks. OpenAI moderation can receive text or images even when another model is selected. Image, search and voice features may involve additional processors. These checks do not guarantee safe or accurate output.
Users acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, biased, or outdated;
- all AI-generated outputs must be independently reviewed and verified before being relied upon;
- TunnelTunnel makes no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, legality, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content;
- TunnelTunnel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, or decision arising from or relating to the use of AI-generated responses.
The Services are provided for informational and productivity purposes only and do not constitute legal, medical, financial, tax, accounting, engineering, or other professional advice.
TunnelTunnel is not responsible for any decision, loss or damage resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.
8. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Hong Kong, TunnelTunnel provides access to AI services and encrypted saved history. TunnelTunnel shall not be liable for AI-generated content, hallucinations, inaccuracies, omissions, service interruptions caused by third-party AI providers, or any damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated responses. The user remains solely responsible for evaluating and using AI outputs. TunnelTunnel's aggregate liability shall not exceed the subscription fees paid during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Third-Party Services
External AI providers operate independently from TunnelTunnel and remain solely responsible for the operation, availability, security and content of their services. Use of those providers may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
